Big Bison Ale is a Belgian Dubbel style beer from Crown Valley Brewing. It is rich and sweet with a hint of raisin. This one has a smooth warm alcohol finish. It’s not a style I am particularly fond of but I did enjoy this one. Worth a try!
Bells Java Stout is a brewed with coffee. While it is delicious I prefer a regular stout. The coffee tends to be a bit overpowering and seems to cover up some of the enjoyable subtle flavors normally found in a stout.
Smitten Golden Rye Ale from Bell’s is a delicious, light, crisp and refreshing ale. There is a soft pleasant bitter finish that has a nice pairing of rye and hop flavor. Another great beer from Bell’s!
Bischoff Premium Black Lager is Kosher and brewed in accordance with the German purity law of 1516. It is easy drinking, slightly sweet and not at all bitter as Black Lagers tend to be. This one is nice but not exceptional.
Black Rajah from The Brew Kettle is a tasty and hoppy treat. This glass came from a growler that my wife picked up for me at our local grocery store. This Black IPA is delicious and has a bit more roasty flavor than it’s counterpart, White Rajah. I like it a lot and am very glad I that I have it a try.
Alchemy Hour Double IPA from Great Lakes Brewing Company is a masterpiece that surpasses even Lake Erie Monster in deliciousness. It is loaded with citrus bitterness and can definitely stand up to Hop Slam and other IIPA powerhouses. It packs a punch with its 9.4% alcohol. This beer is loaded with flavor and the bitterness does not overpower the beer although it is certainly front and center. I love this!
